Plumbers in PE aka Port Elizabeth who answer the phone
Gqeberha, Port Elizabeth, PE — call it whatever you like, we answer either way. Seven vehicles on the road across the city: six numbered teams, plus our own bakkie when the week is full. Leak detection, blocked drains, geysers and maintenance. 20+ years in the trade, founded by Martin Daniel.
- PIRB registered plumbers
- After-hours & weekend call-outs
- 3-month workmanship guarantee
- Leak detection that avoids digging
Water everywhere? Do these four things first
You can't stop the leak, but you can stop most of the damage. This is the advice we give on the phone, before we even see the job.
- 01
Close the main water valve
It's usually at the municipal meter on the pavement, or where the pipe enters the property. Turn it clockwise until it stops. This one step prevents most of the damage.
- 02
Switch the geyser off
If the leak is anywhere near the geyser, switch off its circuit breaker at the DB board and at the isolator switch. A geyser heating with no water in it will fail.
- 03
Open a tap to drain the lines
Open the lowest cold tap in the house, and an outside tap, to take the pressure off the pipes and stop the water that's already in the system from escaping.
- 04
Move what you can, then phone us
Get furniture, rugs and electronics off wet floors, then phone 082 624 2398. Tell us your suburb and what's happening — we'll send the closest team.

Most calls are two minutes and end with a straight answer: what it is, what we charge to fix it, and when we can get there. No obligation.
We find the leak instead of digging for it
A hidden leak under a slab or in a wall is the most expensive kind there is. Our team runs the detection equipment, so you pay for a repair — not an excavation.
Acoustic detection
A listening device that picks up the sound of water escaping a pipe under pressure. Best for supply lines under ground and under paving.
Thermal imaging
An infrared camera that shows temperature differences. A leak leaves a warm or cool patch behind a wall, under a floor or in a ceiling void — visible without opening anything.
Tracer gas detection
For the awkward ones. A safe gas mixture is introduced into a drained line and traced where it escapes — including lines that run under a slab.
CCTV drain survey
A camera pushed down the drain line so we can see the cause: roots, a collapsed section, a displaced joint or a build-up of grease and grit.

Acoustic detection in use — we listen for the leak before anything gets opened up.

In-house teams. Not a call centre and a subcontractor
Our own vans and our own people
Six crews, each with its own van — plus an extra bakkie that goes out when the board is full. The team that arrives is the team that works with us every day, not whoever was available on a job board.
Complexes, height and access
Five-storey blocks, shared lines and difficult access are routine for us. Body corporates and managing agents get proper reporting, not an invoice and silence.
The equipment a proper plumber should have
Thermal imaging, acoustic leak detection, tracer gas testing, CCTV drain cameras and high-pressure jetting. Diagnosis first, then the repair.
Honest pricing and a real guarantee
You agree the price before work starts. If it changes once we open the job up, we stop and tell you. Every job carries a 3-month workmanship guarantee.
Seven vehicles, six teams, one standard
Each numbered van carries its own crew and its own specialities — from the leak-detection and CCTV crew to the construction and renovation teams. When the week is full, a seventh vehicle joins them.

Twenty years of word of mouth in Gqeberha
Most of our work comes from people telling their neighbours, their managing agent or their landlord about us.
“As chairperson of a 5-storey, 52-unit complex, we rely on exceptional plumbers. Access and height are always a major issue — Splash Plumbers consistently outperform, and we have yet to throw a task at them that they do not excel at. Punctual, friendly, qualified staff, and at a competitive price.”
“We just had Q come out to help us with a blocked drain — super friendly, helpful, and sorted our problem quickly. Very affordable, even after hours on a Saturday. Highly recommend!”
“I phoned in the morning and it was all fixed by the afternoon. Excellent service, thank you!”

The things people ask us most
Straight answers. If your question isn't here, phone us — we'd rather explain it than have you guessing.
Do you actually answer the phone?
That's the whole point of the headline. No menu, no "press 1 for geysers" — someone actually answers, and they know which of our six teams is closest to you. If the line is engaged, someone else's geyser has just let go; give it five minutes or send a WhatsApp.
Do you charge a call-out fee in Gqeberha?
Yes — there's a call-out and first-hour charge, and after-hours or weekend attendance costs a bit more. We tell you what it is before we come out, so you're never surprised by the invoice. See the typical ranges on this page for guidance.
How quickly can you get to me if it's an emergency?
It depends on where you are and where our six teams are working, but we get to most of Gqeberha the same day. Phone 082 624 2398 and we'll give you a realistic time on the call.
Do you work after hours and on weekends?
Yes. Burst pipes and blocked drains don't keep office hours, and a large part of our work is after-hours and weekend attendance. There is an additional charge for it, quoted upfront.
Which areas of Port Elizabeth do you cover?
All of Gqeberha. We work regularly in Summerstrand, Humewood, Walmer, Mill Park, Richmond Hill, Newton Park, Kabega Park, Sunridge Park, Lorraine and Motherwell, and we travel to the outlying areas including Kariega and Despatch.
Can you find a leak without breaking up my floor?
In most cases, yes. We use acoustic listening for lines under pressure, thermal imaging for leaks inside walls and floors, and tracer gas detection for the difficult ones. That narrows a leak to a spot instead of a general area.
How much does a geyser replacement cost?
It depends on the size and type of geyser and how accessible it is. A repair — an element, thermostat or valve — is far cheaper and we always check that first. You get a written price before any work starts.
Do you work with body corporates, complexes and businesses?
Yes, and it's a big part of what we do. We handle multi-storey blocks, townhouse complexes, schools, guesthouses and commercial premises, and we report back properly to trustees and managing agents.
Are you registered and is your work guaranteed?
We've been operating in Gqeberha for over 20 years and we're a member of the Plumbing Industry Regulation Board (PIRB). Every job carries a workmanship guarantee — 3 months — and we stand behind what we install.
Got water where it shouldn't be?
Phone us and speak to a plumber, not a switchboard. Tell us what's happening and we'll tell you honestly what it needs.
