A Gqeberha plumbing company built on repeat customers
Splash Plumbers was started by Martin Daniel more than 20 years ago. Today there are 7 vehicles on the road across Port Elizabeth — and most of our work still arrives because someone told their neighbour about us.
- Founded and still run in Gqeberha
- PIRB registered plumbers
- 3-month workmanship guarantee
- Domestic, complex and commercial work
Twenty years of the same standard
Martin Daniel started Splash Plumbers with a simple idea: do the job properly, charge fairly, and answer the phone when people call. Two decades later the company runs 7 vehicles across Nelson Mandela Bay, and those three things haven't changed.
What has changed is the equipment. Where a plumber once had to break open a wall to find a leak, our team uses thermal imaging, acoustic detection and tracer gas to pinpoint it first. Where a blocked drain used to be poked at until it ran, we jet the line and put a camera down it so you can see what caused the problem.
Over the years we've worked in ordinary family homes, guesthouses, five-storey apartment blocks, restaurants and schools. We've re-plumbed bathrooms, excavated drains, installed solar geysers and been called out at night when a pipe gave way. There isn't much we haven't seen.
The name of the game is trust. Someone is letting us into their home, or spending the money of a body corporate they answer to. The only way that works is if we say what we'll do, do it, and don't disappear afterwards.

What the teams are responsible for
- General maintenance
- Plumbing
- Renovations
- Geyser installations and replacements
- Blocked drains
Those are the jobs every crew is set up for. What changes is the van and the kit it carries — leak detection and CCTV cameras on one, construction and geyser work on another. Tell us what you need done
And in the office
Keeping the boat afloat behind the scenes — schedules, quotes, stock and the phone — is the office team: Martin, Kim, Rose, Dean. Dean runs his own bakkie too — when the board is full, he is a seventh vehicle on the road rather than a voice on the phone.
Some of the buildings we look after
Away from homes, we do ongoing plumbing work for schools, clubs and commercial properties.
